Today 19th February 2020 is 11 year anniversary of Metfone Company. On this day in 2009, Metfone officially launched its mobile services in 25/25 provinces nationwide of Kingdom Cambodia. During 11 years of its operation, Metfone keeps firmly maintaining its leading position amongst telecommunication operators in term of customer base.

The critical factor of that success is the significant supports from Government and Kingdom of Cambodia, Ministries, Departments, Provincial Authorities and all parties with their great encouragements and guidance for Metfone’s business activities. In following, Metfone put high appreciations to its 9 million customers who trusted to use Metfone services during all the times. Last but not least, 3,000 Metfone staff are the ones to build up a strong Metfone by their big effort, hard-working attitude and ambition of contributing the best Metfone.
Until 2020, Metfone has fulfilled its missions excellently, made up a world-class infrastructure with over 11,000 base stations of 2G, 3G, 4G, 4.5G and further 5G technology; 23,000 Km fiber optic to cover every corner in the Kingdom, including the most remote and furthest areas and as well, Metfone has become the only multi-service provider in the country by supplying full-fledged service range of mobile, Broadband Internet, Domestic Leased Line, International Leased Line, ePayment (eMoney) and ICT solutions. Metfone itself also created a breakthrough in telecommunications market, brought internet and telecom services to millions of Cambodia and over more, Metfone contributed to eliminate the distance of life conditions between rural and city and thereby push economy development of Cambodia to a new level.
With its business philosophy “Caring Innovator” since the first days running services, Metfone has been the leading operator taking part in Corporate Social Activities to improve and upgrade life conditions, health, education of people, typically: providing free internet to nearly 1,500 schools within 5 years; sponsoring “It’s not a dream” to find lost relatives for over 100 families; sponsoring surgeries for 472 poor children; supplying Internet Line for Cambodia Research Education Network (CamREN); organizing health check-up and free medicine; organizing Munny Care program to facilitate school equipment for poor pupils…. Total amount Metfone has contributed to do CSR at present gained around 85 million USD. Besides, Metfone provided jobs, stable income and life conditions for 3.000 staffs of Metfone and about 30.000 households.
